Dec 9, 1884 was the birthday of Fred Monroe Smith. He was born in Wayne County, IL to Isaac and Emma (Yearian) Smith. He married Gracie A. Bunnell on Oct 1, 1905. They were the parents of six boys. The picture to the right is Fred and his six boys - Harold, Owen, Ralph, Isaac, Rollie and Robert taken in their front yard about 1927 or 28. Fred died June 6, 1972.
