This picture was taken around June 1971 - perhaps it was Memorial day Weekend. It is Ada and Lon Rogers, Leone and Harry Shelton at the Leo French Park in Fairfield. I can remember that little chapel in the background - not sure what it was used for or if it is still there. I lightened the slide as best I could with out distorting too much.
I can remember a couple of big picnics or reunions at the park in the 70s. I guess the last big event was the Rogers Reunion of 2003. Seems so many of our reunions are indoors anymore (Cisne Community Center). the Shelton, Block and conard Reunions are all there. Wish we could get back to the outdoors - maybe reserve the community center incase of rain. Just a thought.
