Here is Granddad and Grandma Smith in the 1940s. I'm not sure of the location,but am guessing it is Starved Rock, Illinois. I've not been to the Rock in about 10 years - can't recall if there was a bridge right there.

They are on top of Starved Rock and the camera is looking East. What you see is not a bridge but the Starved Rock Lock & Dam.
